I am currently in-network with Aetna and Optum. Therapy may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance plan, however, there are BENEFITS FOR PAYING OUT OF POCKET VERSUS USING YOUR INSURANCE.
1. All insurance companies require a diagnosis for all individuals in search of therapy.
2. All insurance companies have the right to audit and review your plan of treatment as well as your progress notes, leaving no confidentiality.
3. There will more than likely be a set limit on the number of sessions you are permitted yearly.
4. You might also be limited to only therapists within the insurance company network.
PAYING OUT OF POCKET MIGHT BE YOUR BEST FIT WHEN CONSIDERING THE ABOVE-MENTIONED.
